Going on in Spite of

Sunday, October 18, 2015

Today I find myself in a place of gratitude.  As I think about all that God has allowed me to do, and is currently allowing me to do I am filled with gladness.  This week has been very challenging for me and my wife.  Personally I have had to work, go to school, rehearse for the play “Beauty Shop” and take care of my aging mother.  There were times when we would be overwhelmed, but through the blood of Jesus we have been victorious.
I have had a couple of challenges in regards to being placed in the proper cohort at OCU.  Two of my books arrived late, and I am still waiting on one, but I am counting it all joy.  I know that God has a master plan for my life and that the work that he has begun in me shall come to pass in due season if I faint not.  I believe that God is telling me to keep going and to fight the good fight.  He has showed up in so many ways.  When my mother’s primary care physician’s office declined to assist us we took her to Piedmont Emergency Center.  We stayed there practically for a combined nine hours waiting for my mother to be tested, but God gave my wife and I the strength.  I had to leave there and go do the play and my wife stayed behind through it all. No matter what I am faced with I will continue to persevere with the Lord on my side.  Victory is mine sayeth the Lord.
